Kangocho single origin washed coffee from Kenya is a high-quality, fully washed (wet-processed) single-origin Arabica coffee originating from the Kangocho Factory (also called Kangocho Washing Station) in the Nyeri County region of central Kenya, near the town of Karatina.
Producers are small holder farmers (often with just a few hundred trees each) which deliver ripe cherries to the Kangocho Factory, part of the Gikanda Farmers Cooperative Society (established after a split in 1996 from Mathira Cooperative). The factory has been operating since 1985 and serves hundreds of members.
Kangocho washed is a quintessential specialty-grade Kenyan coffee—elegant, expressive, and crowd-pleasing among those who love bright, fruit-driven cups. It's often called harmonious, layered, and vibrant, with exceptional clarity and sweetness that makes it shine in pour-over, filter, or cold brew. If you're into coffees with punchy acidity balanced by deep fruit sweetness (think blackcurrant jam meets citrus sparkle), this is a classic example from one of Kenya's top regions.
